We’re open, but it’s not quite business as usual

You may have noticed we haven’t been accepting new orders over the past few weeks. The wellbeing of our staff and customers comes above all else, so we thought it best to put a pause on sales until we made some changes in our business.

Luckily, we’ve been able to make some changes to keep everyone safe, customers and staff alike, whilst still providing you and your loved ones with beautiful, uplifting blooms.

UPDATE: Royal Mail may deliver later than expected

We’ve been receiving reports that Royal Mail are occasionally delivering later than anticipated as they are struggling with the volume of parcels being sent. If your flowers arrive late, follow the instructions on the box and they should perk up in no time. We just want to be as transparent as possible about any potential delayed deliveries.

Contactless deliveries

Our flowers boxes have always been designed to come through the letterbox, requiring no physical contact. We’ve also reviewed Royal Mail’s great safety precautions and are happy they minimise risk for all involved.

Pick and packed by a couple self isolating together

We’ve also decided to take our pick and packing team down to 2 people, 2 people that are self isolating together (they are the most adorable couple) as to not add any additional risk.

The rest of the team are working from home (and have been a while). On top of that, we have health and safety procedures in place around things like delivery of flowers from our suppliers and regular hand sanitising.

More delivery days, fewer orders per day

Because we’ve only got a limited packing team, we’ve limited the number of deliveries available in a given day. If a day is full for deliveries, you’ll see it blocked out in the onsite calendar.

However, to compensate we are adding more delivery days each week to make sure everybody who would like a bouquet can get one.

A final thank you

We’ve been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from our customers so far, and that deserves a huge thank you from us. It’s a hard time for everyone, but it’s made easier by the general public rallying behind independent businesses.

Your support, both emotional and financial, keeps us going.

We hope you enjoy bringing some beauty into your home as well as sending boxes of positive vibes to your loved ones.

Stay safe
Lily
